Central Park Family Restaurant
About This Spot
Walking into Central Park Family Restaurant feels like stepping into a familiar, welcoming embrace—where the daily rhythm slows just enough for meaningful connection. This cozy, unpretentious spot in New Port Richey carries the warmth of a neighborhood diner, where every table seems to have its own story, and smiles come naturally from servers who know many of their guests by name.
The atmosphere here is unhurried and sincere, perfect for those mornings when you want to savor more than just your coffee. Whether you’re settling into a corner booth with a hearty breakfast that could rival a homemade spread, or dropping in for lunch amid quiet conversation and the occasional shared laugh, there’s a comforting vibe that invites you to take your time. It’s the kind of place where the pace feels just right—busy enough to feel alive, yet calm enough to feel like a second living room.
Food here is more than a meal; it’s familiar favorites crafted with care and generosity. Imagine a skillet warming up with savory eggs and rich gravy, or the hearty satisfaction of a grilled chicken parmesan fresh off the skillet. Portions are generous, inviting leftovers that continue the experience well beyond the table. You might find yourself drawn to old-school classics enhanced by gentle twists—a fresh mimosa alongside homemade chicken pot pie or a perfectly balanced cobb salad that feels like a thoughtful nod to nourishing comfort. And it’s clear from the menu’s willingness to blur breakfast and lunch offerings that this is a place that truly understands, and adapts to, the rhythms of the people who dine here.
What truly stands out is the way this restaurant feels like an extension of the community it serves. The staff’s warmth makes every visit feel less transactional and more like catching up with old friends. The ease of communication, attentiveness, and those subtle, human moments of connection create an inviting space where everyone belongs—with familiar faces and new friends sharing the same joy in good, honest food and good company.

Very nice little restaurant. The food was incredible, and the prices were better than any breakfast place I know. My family of 4 went, we had to take some food home because there was so much, the bill with tip was like $50 and we all agreed the taste was a 10 out of 10. Everyone was so friendly and the service was great. They even serve most of their lunch menu during breakfast hours. If you are near here you have got to try this place!

I have been here several times. Let's start with the positives: I do like sitting at the booths, The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Eggs and bacon are pretty good.. The pancake could have more flavor. The French toast has more flavor than the pancake. Look, there's a lot of pancake competition out there. You have to do something to make your pancake rise above the rest. We are paying attention. If we want our home fries well done why don't they just put them in the fryer? Instead they put the weight on them and flatten them out to get them well done... That takes all the moisture out of the potatoes. They use that weight on burgers and potatoes and it dries out the food not sure why cooks still do that. Just put our potatoes in the air fryer and keep the moisture on the inside That way they can still be well done. A larger variety of hot sauce would be nice considering that the menu is gigantic... Why not have more than two hot sauces? Probably the biggest complaint is that they charge $2 for one biscuit why don't you get two? It's a pretty pathetic biscuit. And you know the small amount of dough it takes to make a biscuit? They make quite a profit on these. Mine had just fallen apart and I spoke about it to the waitress instead of bringing another one they wanted to talk about it for a while. It's a simple solution usually when there's a problem just bring another one. It's just a biscuit. That's the point isn't it? The meal should not have centered around the biscuit but...it Became the issue. That's why you're getting four stars instead of 5.. also, Good job on the iced tea because we go to other places and they botch that up. Unsweetened means unsweetened and you did a good job. Always make sure your customers have plenty of napkins we really don't want to ask twice for them. One more suggestion.. replace your spoons. They are the cheapest spoons on the planet. I can get thicker more durable spoons at a garage sale. Obviously these were purchased in bulk but my god they were stamped out with the thinnest metal on the planet. I notice everything but this is still a pretty good restaurant. Thicken your spoons, Add more flavor to your pancake, fix your biscuit, add some napkins and some hot sauce and we got a deal.

Karen and I decided to try this restaurant she wanted home cooked for dinner. We let waiter know we are Deaf and communicate in writing or gesture to make sure he understood us. We chatted in sign language and noticed people treated each other like a family. We will definitely go back soon!!

What a great local find! I’ve been meaning to try this restaurant for a long time now! And it exceeded expectations. My other half and I had clubs today and both were outstanding. The staff as a whole were so helpful. I loved seeing the family/team atmosphere. The owner or mb manger stopped by to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and our server Michelle was the absolute best! It felt like we’ve known her forever and we just met. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu! Thank you for such a wonderful meal. I can’t wait to come back and experience the house made cheese cake

We had came here to try it after seeing the menu. The food was good. It's like home cooking just without all the work of me having to do it myself and that's what I was going for. The staff was nice and very accommodating, she lets us be without having to hover over us as we chatted and that was nice too. We got our refills when needed and our food at the same time and it was correct too. I'd come back for sure with my husband and children to try. It's menu is big enough to find new things each time and they have specials too.
